Are Pangolins the Game-Changers we hoped for? Lessons from COVID-19 and the Role of Conservation
Protecting Nature through strategic partnerships
Project One Planet Earth's mandate is to protect our planet's biodiversity by supporting science based conservation projects that promote sustainable human and wildlife coexistence. Competition for limited resources such as land, food and water, pose a tremendous challenge to biodiversity in our planet. The same biodiversity that supports life itself.
We are currently using 1.7 times the Earth resources. Human population will continue to grow. Around the world, people deserve to have access to water, electricity and progress. But how can we make this happen without destroying the planet any further?
We do not have the luxury to take more than what Earth produces anymore. But we do have innovation and the tools for development planning. Collaboration and innovation are our best hope!

CHYULU HILLS CONSERVATION
A novel approach to restoring nature
Nested between the greater Tsavo Ecosystem and Amboseli Ecosystem, the Chyulu Hills REDD+ Project aims to prevent 37 million metric tons of carbon emissions over the next 30 years, all while and providing economic and social benefits to over 140,000 members of local communities.
BLUE CARBON
Pioneering Coastal Blue Carbon project in ASEAN
Some of the most vulnerable coastal ecosystems are found in South East Asia where the risks of climate change are already being felt in the form of destructive floods and typhons. The first Blue Carbon project undertaken in Asia, provides the scientific basis for the protection of endangered mangroves.

"During the development of the carbon project, her detailed research and modelling work on various emission factors and their applicability in various geographies was core to the ultimate delivery and I was consistently impressed with her effort and quality of work...Most importantly, through her effort and the client’s resulting satisfaction, we were able to secure catalytic funding to launch our first Blue Carbon Project within our Asia Pacific Field Division"
Richard Vigne - Managing Director Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Kenya
"In the face of this looming catastrophe, all around the world, well wishers stepped in to play their part in protecting our wilderness. One such example was the Project One Planet Earth campaign, which created revenues for conservation as well as boosting the local economy with whom we live alongside"
